RADIX
RADIX is phase two of the leadership formation program designed by the Youth Apostolate of the Eparchy. It helped participants who had joined The 72 to take the next step in their leadership journey. A total of 40 participants joined the program. The program went from 7th February to 10th February 2026.
The program started at 11:00am on 7th February and concluded at 2:00pm on February 10th. The days included various sessions, sharing and periods for personal reflection.
Youth Leaders Summit (YLS)
The Youth Apostolate organized a formation program for the newly elected youth leaders from the various parishes of our Eparchy. A total of 150 participants were in attendance. The gathering took place from February 12th to 15th 2026.
The gathering began at 11:00am on February 12th 2026 and concluded in the evening of 15th 2026. The program consisted of sessions to help guide participants adapt to their new roles and responsibilities, accept their calling, meet others in the same boat and come together to elect a new National SMYM team.
Pre-Marriage preparation Course
This course helps prepare participants for the sacrament of marriage. The program ran for three days beginning from 21st February to 23rd February 2026. A total of 34 participants took part. The course began at 10am on the Saturday and concluded in the evening of 23rd February. Each day included Holy Qurbana and various sessions designed to help the participants understand their calling.
March 2026
Rema Bible Study
This program was phase two of the bible study course for participants. The program ran from 5th March to 8th March 2026. A total of 150 participants attended.
Safeguarding:
The Syro Malabar Eparchy of St Thomas the Apostle takes our safeguarding responsibilities with utmost seriousness and sincerity. As a part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding, a session was conducted for our safeguarding team, with 57 participants in attendance. The program ran from 1pm on 13th March 2026 to 2pm on 15th March 2026.
The sessions were to gain insights as to what was working as part of our safeguarding initiatives, understand areas for improvement, and then to develop strategies to improve on these identified areas.
Syro Malabar Bible Study of Fr Daniel
A total of 280 participants were in attendance to learn more about the bible from world-renowned preacher, Fr Daniel Poovannathil. The program started from 9am on Monday, 16th March and concluded on in the afternoon on Sunday, 22nd March. There was Holy Qurbana each day, music and sessions.
April 2026
Qadosh
Qadosh is a program designed for young teens who are studying in year 8 to 12 and led by the Sliha daMisha Mission Team. The program is designed to help our teens understand more about our Syro Malabar faith and understand the important significance that faith occupies in their lives.
The program will begin on Monday, April 6th 2026 to Thursday, 9th April 2026.
Melbourne West Retreat
A retreat for 25 families from St Mary’s Syro Malabar Parish, Melbourne West will take place from 9th April to 11th April 2026.
